The District Camping competition for the Fremantle District is held at Manjedal every year and allows scout to develop their camping and leadership skills.

Being a 'patrol alone' camp, the scouts are required to prepare everything for the weekend, from food to accomodation (ie. tents) to transport. Not only are they required to prepare all this but they are marked on it too. Each patrol is marked on cleanliness, camping skills, and teamwork.

Every year the 1st Fremantle patrols participate and return with fantastic results, winning in for 7 consecutive yrs, 1997 - 2003.
